Please share your career story with us. How did you get to where you are today?

After I graduated from college, I set out to be a print designer, but I started networking and I landed a job at CNN. Cable news is a very fast-paced working environment, so it was a perfect place to hone my creative chops. I very quickly learned all about network branding, video production and creating motion graphics for television. It was exciting!

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had such great experiences at CNN and also at HGTV. I made lifelong friends and had incredibly supportive managers and teammates. As integrated marketing campaigns now encompass not only video, print, digital, social media, and experiential assets, I’ve been able to expand my skillset right along with the increased demands of 360 marketing campaigns. I’ve developed a passion for art direction and asset management, ensuring that the creative direction is rock solid across the board from start to finish.

What is “success” or “successful” to you?

Success can be measured in a myriad of ways. A successful outcome with regard to design would mean that I was able to effectively visually communicate a clients’ creative idea and as a result, elevated their brand. I’m passionate about what I do. Every day, I set out to exceed expectations.

What is your dream job? What would you like to do next?

If I wasn’t such a diehard graphic designer, I’d love to explore interior design. I’m passionate about color, pattern, textiles, furniture, fixtures and really anything that has to do with creating beautiful spaces. Home design resources that I follow on Instagram are a constant source of inspiration.
