Q: Please share your career story with us. What accomplishment along the way are you most proud of?
I was hired as a contractor in the Georgia-Pacific Pro Marketing Division to manage, create and design an online, customizable, self-serve tool for the marketing and sales team. I developed over 125 plug-and-play templates for vendor co-branding and usage of various marketing collateral for 24/7 support for internal customers. This new tool has reduced “ad-hoc” sales requests from the design team by 65%, freeing up 35+ hours/week.
Q: Please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have been passionate about art since I was a child, always in some kind of art class in and out of school. I had a one-woman art show in high school showcasing my paintings and moved to New York to become an artist. I attended The Art Students League in NYC for a fine arts studio drawing. I worked in publishing before attending The Art Institute of Houston for my degree in Graphic Design. Design is my passion, it utilizes my creative talent and I love what I do. I love the challenges it brings and to see what I can create next…
Q: What would you like to do next?
I thrive on challenging projects and complex designs. I would love the opportunity to be an art director or graphic design leader and use my years of experience to inspire, mentor, and lead a team of designers.
