Please share your career story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Early on, I was trained as a fine artist throughout my primary education and went on to earn my first degree in fine art. Afterward, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. When I was at university, we were encouraged to develop a personal maxim. After much consideration, I finally came to mine and it rings true for me both personally and professionally – ‘Proclaim and restore Goodness, Beauty, and Truth to others around you.’ This maxim has served me well as an artist, reminding me of my mission and giving focus to my work. I continue using my artistic abilities to help clients reach their goals through engaging media experiences. My background in fine arts and leadership training affords me and my clients a professional perspective not found among most designers in the market today.
I feel that I have gotten to where I am today not only by forging relationships with people in the industry but also by forging relationships with people who need design (or may know people who need design) – musicians, entrepreneurs, business owners, etc.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Life has its ups and downs. If you had a few hours, I’d be happy to share some of the legendary details.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is defined as: Satisfaction in knowing you did something good, to the best of your ability, and to the satisfaction of others for the purpose of improving the lives of others through your efforts.
