PRSA Georgia: September 2015 Seminar – PR for the PR Professional: Polish your personal brand at Brand U

Speaker: Elyse Hammett, APR

Elyse Hammett, APR, was most recently Vice President, Phase 3 Marketing & Communications, She joined Phase 3 in 2012 as a result of its purchase of EOS Marketing & Communications. Leveraging more than 20 years of public relations and marketing communications experience, Elyse honed her public relations skills in positions of increasing responsibility at Emory Healthcare, where she ultimately served as a director until she joined BellSouth’s marketing and public relations department in 1999. There, she led PR programs for the business units, serving the CIO and the president of BellSouth Small Business Services, while reporting to the vice president of public relations in a matrixed environment. Since changing her seat to the agency side of the desk in 2005, Elyse has served Fortune firms including her former employers as well as Centex Homes, Chiquita Brands International, Disney On Ice, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey, Feld Entertainment, HD Supply, Troutman Sanders, and The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta.

A frequent guest lecturer at her alma mater, Emory University, Elyse is one of only 150 accredited public relations professionals (APR) in Georgia, and has coached more than 85 candidates since 2007 through the universal accreditation process. She also serves on the executive committee of PRSA Georgia, and has been nominated to serve the nation’s second largest chapter as its president in 2017.
