PRSA Georgia: October 2016 Monthly Meeting: The Rise of the Influencer – Leveraging Third-Party Social Influencers

October 13, 2016 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

$69

The definition of a social influencer is expanding rapidly with the evolution of digital and social media channels. Brands of all sizes are looking for ways to engage these influencers to help tell their own stories as more consumers rely on the opinions of their favorite bloggers, you-tubers, instagrammers and snapchatters for their purchasing decisions.

Key takeaways from this session include:

  • Identifying the right influencer for your brand and budget.
  • Creative ways of utilizing influencers while maintaining ethics and transparency.
  • Establishing the right metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of your influencer campaign.
  • Figuring out where influencers fit into your company’s communications strategy – marketing? PR? Blogging? Social media? Or all of the above?

Panelists:

Danica Kombol (moderator) is the CEO of the Everywhere Agency, a leading social media marketing firm. In conjunction with her agency, she founded Everywhere Society, a network of 3,000 micro-influencers, to power the many award-winning marketing campaigns they do for brands like Macy’s, Cox Communications, AutoTrader, Carter’s, and UPTV.
Dawn Brun, Director of Communications, Cardlytics. Dawn manages earned and owned media at Atlanta-based Cardlytics and can share insights on B2B influencers campaigns.
Tracey Del Moral, Vice President, Porter Novelli. Tracey oversees marketing campaigns at OshKosh B’gosh and has found influencers effective in delivering authentic messages about this iconic brand.
Dwayna Haley, Director of Marketing, Carter’s | OskKosh B’gosh. Dwayna leads consumer accounts at Porter Novelli and has leveraged the “influencer halo” for top tier brands including HP, McDonalds, P&G and Comcast.
