PRSA Georgia: March 2016 Monthly Meeting: Best Practices Every Communicator Should Learn from Ebola

March 10, 2016 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

$69

With the new Zika virus outbreak capturing the world’s attention, we will review the best practices from the last worldwide health scare, Ebola, with experts from right here in Georgia. Hear the fascinating Ebola story from the front-line communicators and learn crisis communications lessons applicable to practitioners in every industry. Join representatives from Emory University as they provide insights into how organizations in crisis can effectively reach and reassure citizens and pundits. You will:

  • Discuss the importance of strategic message development and discipline throughout a long-term crisis situation.
  • Learn how to develop public communications messaging and channels that can be deployed in real time.
  • Review your organization’s internal communications channels and processes to identify gaps and get the system in working order before the crisis happens.

Speakers:

Vincent J. Dollard, APR, Associate Vice President, Communications, Woodruff Health Sciences
Wendy Darling, Web / IT Communications Manager, Emory Woodruff Health Sciences

  • Additional $10 Walk-in Registration Fee.
  • $2 Valet Parking.
  • Luncheon, family-style.
  • All reservations are final. There are no cancellations and PRSA Georgia does not issue refunds for the registration fee.
