PRSA Georgia: 2020 Awards Celebration: A Day to Shine!

A lot has changed in the last 12 months, but the hard work and accomplishments of the state’s best and brightest PR minds remain exceptional and worth celebrating virtually.

Pull up a chair at your modified home office, throw on your best gala garb (or sweatpants) and join us on Tuesday, November 10 at 12 p.m. for the 2020 PRSA Georgia Awards Celebration. It’s a day to shine for our entire PR and communications community, and during this first-of-its-kind virtual event, we will:

• Present Phoenix Awards for the programs and projects that showcase the best in public relations strategy and impact; view the list of Program and Project category finalists
• Induct Ana Toro, APR, Fellow PRSA, Public Affairs Officer for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, into The Order of the Phoenix/Georgia PRSA Hall of Fame
• Recognize this year’s Chapter Award winners, including Distinguished Public Relations Award – Carlos del Rio, M.D., Distinguished Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, and Professor of Global Health and Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Emory University; Luminary Star Award – Deisha Barnett, Chief Brand and Communications Officer and Head of Diversity & Inclusion, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce; Shining Star Award – Lauren Powers, Senior Marketing Manager, Emory University School of Medicine; Rising Star Award – Trey Newstedt, Manager, Enterprise PR, IHG; and George Goodwin Award – Angie Champsaur, APR, Director of Corporate Communications, Focus Brands
