About Bobby C. Martin
Bobby C. Martin Jr. is a founding partner of Original Champions of Design, a branding and design agency headquartered in New York City.
He guides the agency’s culture and sets the relentlessly high standard of design. Since founding the company, with Jennifer Kinon in 2010, he has partnered with a wide range of clients such as The Atlantic, Dartmouth, Girl Scouts of the USA, MTV, NBA, The New York Times and The Studio Museum in Harlem to ensure their brand’s goals.
He has lectured on the role of brand identity systems around the world and has been a special guest on Design Matters and Studio 360. Bobby Martin is a board member of the Type Directors Club and served on the board of AIGA/NY. He was also recently named one of the Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company.
Martin has won numerous international awards from the AIGA, Art Directors Club, Communication Arts, D&AD, and the Type Directors Club, among others.
Bobby Martin graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University, and he earned an MFA from the School of Visual Arts where he currently serves on the faculty.
About Jennifer Kinon
Jennifer Kinon leads OCD’s business, design, and strategy. Since founding the company with Bobby C. Martin, Jr. in 2010, she has developed brand identity systems for clients that range from Ad Age to Girl Scouts of the USA and the WNBA.
During 2016, Jennifer Kinon served as Design Director of Hillary for America.
At every point in her career, Kinon has tackled big systems. She worked in Pentagram’s New York City office with Michael Bierut, overseeing a roster of clients including Benetton, NYU, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sesame Street, and Barclays Center. She served as Design Director of New York City’s 2012 Olympic Bid and Art Director at Graphis Inc.
Kinon’s work has been exhibited in London’s Design Museum, the Museum of the City of New York and numerous countries across the world. She’s been a guest on Design Matters, Studio 360 and served as President of AIGA/NY from 2010-2012.
She graduated from the University of Michigan and earned an MFA from the School of Visual Arts, where she was the first graduate of the program to join its faculty.
