During this class, you will work on naming the different voices that keep you from drawing. You will sketch them, name them and learn techniques to deal with them when they take up too much space in your head. Learn how drawing drills can help you push through drawing blocks and try out another mindfulness drawing practice.
About the Workshop Leader
Rachel Eleanor is an illustrator and picture pilgrim. For her, drawing is a form of meditation and pictures are a path of pilgrimage, a way to pencil herself into distant lands in search of deeper connectedness and meaning. Illustration is a spiritual practice in constructing personal mythology, creating a cast of characters to send out on quests exploring the wilderness within and without. Delight & Disarm is Eleanor’s motto, and she hopes her pictures, like friendly companions, help you on your own journey into the great wide world.
Rachel’s work has been featured in publications, brand campaign relaunches, and visual identity for Atlanta-based events. See more of her lovely work on her website and Instagram.
