On November 17, we’ll be speaking with Lily Pabian! Lily Pabian joined We Love BuHi as its Executive Director in the fall of 2019.  When asked why she loves Buford Highway, her answer is simple, “because it was our family’s first home.” As former development director for a local nonprofit serving individuals who are blind or visually impaired, Lily understands the importance of impact and focuses on the relationships behind the experiences throughout her campaigns and programs.

With a background in journalism and cultural anthropology, Lily has a passion for all things related to culture, diversity, and history. She believes that people build up communities by connecting through societal commonalities as art, food, family systems, wisdom, and traditions of passing stories from one generation to the next.

This event will be moderated by Floyd Hall.

Floyd Hall is a media strategist, cultural producer, writer and documentarian from Atlanta, Georgia. His professional work often relates to the intersection of art, media and technology as platforms. As an artist, he is interested in the process of how we come to define and design ourselves, and is passionate about how history, culture and art blend together to construct narratives of place.
