Join us at MODA for an artist talk by Kristan Woolford, artist-in-residence at MODA and Perkins&Will as part of Midtown Alliance’s Heart of the Arts initiative, and the Wild Seed Art & Design Collective.
Hear about Kristan’s past work, learn what he’s working on while in residence in Midtown, and mingle with Kristan and other Midtown neighbors.

About Kristan Woolford
Born in Atlanta and raised in Stone Mountain, GA, Kristan is a commission-based visual artist whose work seeks to synthesize the original pillars of Hip Hop culture with Social Justice themes. His background in documentary filmmaking inspires video collages of Afrofuturist & surrealist narratives.
Kristan is a high school teacher at The New School Atlanta, a Teaching Artist with re:imagine/ATL, and a Film Post Production Professor of Practice at Georgia State University, where they work to train Atlanta’s future generation of digital creators. They are a featured artist in Comfiart’s Design + Muse signature program. Kristan is a proud alumni of The Creatives Project Studio residency program, C4 Atlanta’s Hatch Intensive Program: For Artists Working With Community, Hampton University, and Georgia Tech.
