Ladies that UX Atlanta: Object-Oriented UX: The Game

In 2015, LTUX organizer Sophia Voychehovski published an article on A List Apart called Object Oriented UX. It became one of the most-read (and most commented on) articles on ALA that year. Since then, Sophia has been speaking and conferences and teaching OOUX workshops around the world.

Object Oriented UX could be the missing piece of your process. As UX designers, we often focus too soon on what a user must DO within the digital environment that we are creating, neglecting to consider what objects the environment is made of. OOUX adds a simple step in the UX process that helps you create more consistent and intuitive digital environments.

For the past year, Sophia has been working on a game to help teach the concepts and reach more designers. The goal: create Cards Against Humanity for UX designers. Or…perhaps more Magic the Gathering for UXers? At this meetup, Sophia will introduce the concepts of OOUX and groups will play-test the card game. You’ll learn magical methodology of Object Mapping and Sophia will gain your valuable feedback on the game!
