Freelance Forum: Things We Wished We’d Known When We Started! 20th Anniversary Celebration

May 7, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$5

Come join us for our 20th Anniversary! We’ll mark this impressive milestone at our annual Cinco de Mayo-themed meeting on Thursday evening, May 7.

To celebrate our great tradition promoting independent creatives, we’ve invited many of our past presidents for a panel discussion on best practices for creative freelancers, time-tested tales of success, “things we wish we’d known when we started,” and ways the Freelance Forum helped them advance their careers. Topics will include:

  • Self-employment issues
  • Keeping up with technology
  • Contracts, taxes and other practical matters
  • Finding your niche
  • Networking, referrals and building business relationships

(Not to mention meeting some of the coolest people in town and becoming longtime friends and colleagues!)

Past Presidents attending include:

David Batley · Su Berland · Keith Bishop · Shelton Cochran

Laura Heck · Bobby Hickman · David Knope · Jerry Silvestrini

So come join us! Say hello to old friends, meet some new ones and help us toast 20 years as Atlanta’s premier organization for creative professionals.

Special Non-Member/Guest Fee: $5.00!

We’re taking our theme straight to the bank! Non-members and guests will enjoy the festive atmosphere, delicious Mexican-style spread and spirited discussion for an admission fee of just $5.00. That’s the best Cinco de Mayo offer in town!
