The freelance business has changed enormously in the last 10 years. The Internet has turned graphic design into a global marketplace. Apps and services like Fiverr and Canva are driving down prices. And of course, everyone with a mobile phone is now a photographer.
How are we supposed to compete with that? How can designers, illustrators, photographers and other freelancers still get paid what we’re worth?
At our next meeting of the Freelance Forum, we’ll hear from a local artist (and Forum member) with 20 years experience in traditional and digital art. Someone who not only knows how to draw—he knows how to build a business.
OUR EXPERT PRESENTER: DANIEL FLORES
Also known as DaCreativeGenius, Dan will speak about connecting artists, curators, entrepreneurs and art business mentors to assist emerging artists in building a sustainable art business.
He’s worked with Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Emory, Adobe, GA Tech, Cinamaker, Microsoft and Newell Brands.
