Mark KooymanMark Kooyman is the CEO and Discovery Chief of EXPERIENCE, an Atlanta-based insight discovery and brand strategy firm. He has been driving brand positioning and strategy for over 30 years by passionately embracing challenge and change, and uncovering rich market insights, opportunities and consumer needs.

EXPERIENCE client partnerships include:Sears-Kmart, Party City, Kraft Foods, Pier 1 Imports, Shaw Flooring, IBEROSTAR Resorts, Discovery Networks, The Companion Channel, Banner Bank, Emory Healthcare, Vanderbilt University Healthcare, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Beaumont Health. Mark also works with non-profit groups such as the YMCA, NPR, United Way, Success By 6 and CDC to craft educational outreach programs, and with community leaders and groups to craft political campaign strategy.


Mark, the first licensee of Nielsen Claritas-PRIZM
in the US, is aligned with lifestyle marketing systems in Canada and Europe and works in partnership with the founders of Claritas. He has pioneered Coffee House Chats conducted at Starbucks and indie coffee houses, on-the-street and encounter surveys, psychographic & attitudinal mindset profiling and geographic analytics & opportunity mapping.

In 2000, Mark presented his global research study of more than 16,000 kids at the Millennial Kids Conference in Beijing. Through extensive qualitative and quantitative research plus the modeling of 15 million+ Millennial retail customer records, Mark currently works with top C-level management to capitalize on Millennials as they evolve, form families, establish home ownership and have kids.

Mark’s work has been featured in Ad Age, Brand Week, The Journal of Advertising Research, FAST COMPANY Magazine and NBC Nightly News. His annual TRENDCAST report of market change is presented at American Marketing Association conferences.

Mark is a University of Georgia alumnus with a BA in Journalism, post-graduate MBA (Marketing) and MA (Media Management and Social Research). He is a guest lecturer at Emory, Auburn and Vanderbilt as well as an adjunct professor at the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Terry College of Business.

Take the Howell Mill Rd exit off I-75 and head south to 11th Street. PPR is next door to Six Feet Under. Park in the lower lot and trek up the hill. We’ll have a sign on the door & hope to see you there!
