AMA Atlanta: BKV Series Webinar – Sharing Space – How NASA Makes Space Exploration a Personal Journey for Everyone

March 10, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$10

Remember when the public had to watch Walter Cronkite and the evening news to learn what NASA was doing? Yeah, neither do we. Today, technology allows you to connect and collaborate with NASA and astronauts directly from space. The agency has transformed the way it tells its story to the public by expanding its digital footprint. With more than 500 accounts that reach over 79 million people across 13 different social media platforms, NASA is able to consistently communicate the agency’s mission and engage with followers from around the world.

The presentation shares NASA’s best practices and proven success tactics to implement and effectively use social media to build a strong community, rally public support, impact public perception and gather input to influence decision making.

This session will explore:

  • The art of packaging content to inspire and engage an audience
  • Strategies for taking the online experience offline, giving your followers an in-person experience
  • How to engage with influencers and encourage user generated content to help tell your story
  • Best practices for effectively organizing and managing multiple social media account users in your organization
  • How to transform into a digital communications organization and foster employee buy-in
  • Successful NASA campaigns that have skyrocketed the agency’s social media presence
