Come and hear longtime chief marketing officer for Chick-fil-A, Steve Robinson, talk about his newly released book: Covert Cows and Chick-fil-A: How Faith, Cows, and Chicken Built an Iconic Brand. Steve will talk about how the company turned prevailing theories of fast-food marketing upside down and built one of the most successful and beloved brands in America. From the creation of the Eat Mor Chikin campaign to the decision to stay closed on Sundays to the creation of the company’s corporate purpose, Robinson provides a front-row seat to the innovative marketing, brand strategies, and programs that created culture customers describe as “Where good meets gracious.”

Steven A. Robinson, Author of Covert Cows and Chick-fil-A & Former EVP and CMO of Chick-fil-A, Inc.

Steven A. Robinson is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Chick-fil-A, Inc. Steve serves as counsel for leadership development and continues community involvement on behalf of Chick-fil-A.

Prior to joining the company, Steve was the director of marketing for Six Flags Over Georgia theme park in Atlanta, Georgia. This role was preceded by his time as marketing communications manager at Texas Instruments.

After beginning his career at Chick-fil-A as director of marketing, Steve went on to serve as vice president of the department before becoming chief marketing officer. In his most recent role, he was responsible for overseeing marketing, advertising, brand development management, menu development, and hospitality strategies.

In addition to Chick-fil-A’s board of directors, Steve serves on several local boards for organizations and ministries, including Family Life, Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Atlanta, Links Players International, Atlanta Hall Management & College Football Hall of Fame, and the National Football Foundation.

He holds an associate degree in business administration from Faulkner State Junior College, a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Auburn University, and a master’s in advertising from Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University

Steve and his wife, Dianne, have two children and four grandchildren.

Visitor/Parking Instructions: Maggiano’s has a parking garage which is complimentary. It is located in the back of the restaurant. When you enter you will get a ticket and Maggiano’s concierge will provide a voucher to you. Please note when parking in the garage you MUST use the stairs and elevators on the south side (to your right if you are in the garage looking out towards Maggiano’s) in order to access the correct exit to enter the venue. Valet parking is also available for lunch at $2 per car.

Cancellation Policy: Due to pre-registration costs and guarantees, refunds or credits are not extended for this event. However, registrations are transferable. On the day of the event, the substitute attendee must present a copy of the registration receipt or e-mail verification to be admitted to the event.
