AIMA SCHOLARSHIP CLASSIC

Please join us for the 3rd Annual AIMA Scholarship Classic hosted by the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association –Tuesday, October 18, 2016.  All proceeds benefit the AIMA Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

• 11:00am – 12:30pm – Check-In, Open Range, & Lunch @ Clubhouse

o   On the Range: Swing tips from Director of Instruction, Rob Stocke

• 12:30pm – Tournament Rules & Putting Contest, Cart Area
• 1:00pm – Shot-gun Start @ Your Designated Hole
• 4:00pm – Golf Clinic with Director of Instruction, Rob Stocke
• 5:30pm – 19^th Hole Happy Hour & Casino Night, Ballroom
• 7:00pm – Recognition Ceremony, Ballroom
• 8:30pm – Event End

Now in our third year, the tournament brings together the Who’s Who of Digital in the South, for a day of networking, camaraderie, and awareness for the interactive marketing community in Atlanta and throughout the southeast; raising money to fund three AIMA Scholarships (see below).  The popularity of our event has outgrown the 9-hole course at Ansley Golf Club where we’ve hosted our first two tournaments, and this year we are excited to move to a premier 18-hole course. A breathtaking day of golf awaits you at the recently renovated Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta, GA.  The tournament is a 4-person Scramble format.  Golf Registration for Individual Players and Foursomes includes access to the 19th Hole experience.

In addition to the world-class golf, we’ve stepped up our game for non-golfers who still want to join-in the fun and support AIMA.  As part of our 19th Hole experience we’ve added an hour-long Golf Instruction Clinic for beginners, as well as intermediate players who want to brush-up on their game, hosted by The Club’s Director of Instruction, Rob Stocke.  Let the good times roll afterwards at the 19th Hole Happy Hour and Casino Night!  Try you luck at the Black Jack, Craps, Roulette, and Poker tables, while enjoying a premium open bar, music, and the best networking in the South!

About the AIMA Educational Foundation
The AIMA Educational Foundation, a subsidiary of the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association, was established in 2015 to provide tax free incentives to support the AIMA Intern and Scholarship Program.  AIMA provides a FREE 8-week summer program for college students pursuing a career in interactive marketing, providing an all-access pass to Atlanta’s top agencies and brands with weekly events, networking and leadership opportunities, as well as a free Student Membership to the Association. The program supports college students interested in exploring opportunities in the Atlanta interactive marketing field and enriches students’ preparation and real-world experience by acting as a catalyst for students to immerse themselves in the Atlanta interactive marketing community through professional networking, and career coaching/mentoring.

The AIMA Scholarship program acts as a complement to interns who have already secured a professional internship in the metro Atlanta area. The program provides a big-picture view of the digital space and an opportunity to broaden the participant’s view of working brand-side, agency-side, non-profit, etc.

In addition to the weekly events, there’s also a chance to submit and win an AIMA Scholarship. In 2015, AIMA awarded $15,000 to three deserving AIMA Interns from the summer program.
