Have you ever thought about employment law and how it might affect your studio?
Are you considering hiring independent contractors? Would you like to know more about managing your employees and avoiding potential lawsuits?
If you haven’t already guessed, November’s roundtable discussion will focus on a slightly different topic than our standard fare. We will welcome to our group John L. Weltin, an attorney with the national law firm Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP. Mr. Weltin will give a short presentation about employment law for small businesses and will open the floor for any questions you may have about your own business. Remember, this will be our last meeting at Manuel’s Tavern before the remodeling begins. So, don’t miss out on a chance to visit one of Atlanta’s landmark watering holes before it changes forever.
As always, join your fellow studio owners and solopreneurs for a casual roundtable discussion of the ins-and-outs of owning and operating a design business. Our goal is to connect veteran studio owners and freelancers with new entrepreneurs for an evening of lively discussion. Topics may include client service, pricing resources, business practices, software, equipment, and much more. The format will be casual and offer insight to new business owners and veterans alike.
