The AIGA ATL Student Board presents the annual Type Fight. This year, we will be offering a mentorship opportunity for college students to group with high school students. Join us virtually to battle it out against other teams creating this year’s most creative letter. Sign up to gain experience in a leadership role, during one of our favorite annual events. You won’t want to miss this gathering of Atlanta’s creatives and upcoming artists as they flex their crafty muscles! This Event is capped at 50 attendees.
THIS IS THE REGISTRATION FOR SESSION A: 10 am – 11:30 am.
This session is limited to 25 college students.
What to Expect
The Type Fight will be 2 sessions, approximately 1 hour of intensive letter-making per session. There will be introductions to welcome you all to the event, and a small presentation of your work at the end. This seems like a long time, but trust us, you’ll need all the time that you can have. Two design professionals will be judging work at the end of each session, and the two winning groups will be announced the following Monday.
What to Prepare
Have all the materials that you want to use to create. If you are a traditional drawer, have your pens and pencils ready. If you are all about Cinema 4D, have your laptop. As the college mentor, you will most likely be the one putting the final design together (so be prepared for that!), but it’s up to the discretion of the group.
Rules
Have whatever supplies you need to draw with.
Permitted:
• Color palette prepared in advance
• Pattern prepared in advance
